You have every right to doubt the CBF. After all, across different administrations and periods, when it comes to refereeing, promises have consistently gone unfulfilled.

Another example? The CBF dared to say they would implement VAR in the Brasileirão in 2016. But it was too last-minute, so it was extended to 2017, then they dared to mention 2018, and we only got video assistant referees in the Campeonato Brasileiro in… 2019! Why should you believe that the CBF will fulfill a promise the year after it’s made? Honestly, I’ll only believe it when the equipment is installed and fully operational in the tournament. You’ve certainly developed a thick skin from observing and understanding the system.
