Curiosidade: você sabia que no Japão não se costuma receber gorjetas? Afinal, entende-se que o seu salário por um serviço dispensa gratificação extra.
Quando Albert Einstein estava em Tóquio para receber o Prêmio Nobel de Física 1921, foi dar gorjeta para um entregador. Na recusa, ofereceu-lhe então um conselho muito simpático redigido num papel com as próprias mãos. Aliás, esse bilhete, em 2017, foi à leilão!

Quer ser feliz? Qual a fórmula para isso? Pois bem, difícil uma receita exata para a felicidade, já que ela depende de vários fatores, principalmente o que envolve o íntimo de cada um de nós. No entanto, para surpresa de muita gente, Albert Einstein deixou um bilhete com a fórmula da felicidade, que acabou sendo leiloado por mais de US$ 1.3 milhão.
O bilhete em questão é datado de 1922 quando Einstein estava em Tóquio para receber o Prêmio Nobel de Física de 1921. O cientista esteve hospedado em hotel e, por alguma razão, escreveu sobre a vida em uma nota e a entregou a um mensageiro. No bilhete estava escrito:
“Uma vida simples e silenciosa traz mais alegria do que a busca do sucesso em um desassossego constante”.
Albert Einstein entregou a nota para um mensageiro que foi lhe deixar uma mensagem. Não existe qualquer informação se o mensageiro aceitou a gorjeta ou se Einstein não tinha dinheiro na ocasião. O que parece é que Einstein não queria que o homem deixasse o local de mãos vazias, e acabou escrevendo uma nota em alemão.
“Talvez, se tiver sorte, essa nota acabará sendo muito mais valiosa do que uma simples gorjeta”.
O cientista famoso por sua teoria da relatividade estava certo, a nota, no leilão, mostrou o seu real valor.
O manuscrito com a tal fórmula da felicidade foi adquirido por um europeu que realizou lances por telefone. Ele preferiu não ser identificado.

Do you want to be happy? What is the formula for it? Well, it is difficult to come up with an exact recipe for happiness, since it depends on several factors, especially those that involve the innermost being of each one of us. However, to the surprise of many people, Albert Einstein left a note with the formula for happiness, which ended up being auctioned for more than US$ 1.3 million.
The note in question is dated 1922 when Einstein was in Tokyo to receive the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics. The scientist was staying at a hotel and, for some reason, wrote about life in a note and gave it to a messenger. The note read:
“A simple and quiet life brings more joy than the pursuit of success in constant restlessness.”
Albert Einstein gave the note to a messenger who came to leave him a message. There is no information as to whether the messenger accepted the tip or whether Einstein did not have any money at the time. What it seems is that Einstein did not want the man to leave the place empty-handed, and ended up writing a note in German.
“Maybe, if you’re lucky, this note will end up being worth much more than a simple tip.”
The scientist famous for his theory of relativity was right; the note showed its true value at auction.
The manuscript with the formula for happiness was acquired by a European who bid by telephone. He preferred to remain anonymous.
