Um erro crasso no Choque-Rei: Allan não queria fazer a falta, mas faz. Dentro da área, é pênalti por imprudência (sem cartão amarelo).

Ramon Abatti Abel (que é o número 1 hoje para a CBF, que fez um ótimo Mundial de Clubes – e faz um ruim Brasileirão) mandou imediatamente o lance seguir. Ilbert Estevam, o VAR, não chamou para a checagem.

Por que tudo isso aconteceu? Por dois motivos:

  • De tanto os VARs chamarem os árbitros nesses últimos jogos, dessa vez o VAR se intimidou e ficou com medo de chamar.
  • O árbitro deve ter entendido como CASUALIDADE (ou seja: acidente de trabalho). Ele interpretou que o defensor escorregou (e escorrega mesmo) e o atacante dá azar e tropeça. Mas, ao ver o lance, você percebe que ele escorrega ao ir disputar a bola (portanto, é infração). Se Allan estivesse mais longe e não fosse disputar a bola, aí sim seria casualidade.

O São Paulo reclama, e com razão.

A blatant mistake in the “Choque-Rei” (São Paulo vs. Palmeiras derby): Allan didn’t intend to commit the foul, but he did. Inside the box, it’s a penalty due to carelessness (no yellow card).

Ramon Abatti Abel (who is currently the CBF’s number 1, and who had a great Club World Cup but is having a poor Brazilian Championship season) immediately let the play continue. Ilbert Estevam, the VAR, did not call for a review.

Why did all of this happen? For two reasons:

  1. The VARs have been calling the referees over so much in recent matches that, this time, the VAR felt intimidated and was afraid to call it.
  2. The referee must have interpreted it as a CASUAL OCCURRENCE (in other words: a workplace accident). He interpreted that the defender slipped (which he did) and the attacker was unlucky enough to trip. However, when you watch the play, you realize he slips while challenging for the ball (therefore, it is a foul). If Allan had been farther away and hadn’t gone to challenge for the ball, then it would have been a casual occurrence.

São Paulo is complaining, and rightly so.
