Após o Internacional/RS ser eliminado na Libertadores da América, o presidente colorado Alessandro Barcellos justificou que o seu time tinha investido R$ 27 milhões, mas que é difícil jogar contra quem investe 277 milhões de reais (se referindo as contratações do Flamengo).
Pela lógica, em hipótese alguma o modesto Mirassol poderia estar à frente do Inter no Brasileirão (como está). Aí essa justificativa não vale?

After Internacional/RS was eliminated from the Copa Libertadores, the team’s president Alessandro Barcellos justified it by saying his team had invested R$ 27 million, but that it’s difficult to play against a team that invests R$ 277 million (referring to Flamengo’s signings).
Logically, in no way should the modest Mirassol be ahead of Inter in the Brasileirão (as they are). So does that justification not count there?
