A few days ago, the late Pope Francis tweeted an important message, warning of the snares of the devil. The Pontiff wrote:
“To pray is to allow yourself to look inside yourself without fictions, without excuses or justifications; because from the Devil comes opacity and falsehood; from God, comes the truth.”
Bring it to your reality: how many times do we think about something and our ideas are influenced by pessimism, weariness, or sadness, preventing a clearer view of things? Is it only emotional factors that can bring us despair, or is there a malicious spiritual influence?
On the contrary, as the Pope wrote, when we talk to God (who knows our intimacy, without makeup or disguises), we have clarity and a more hopeful vision of that very same thing we once thought of negatively.
Thus, let us remember: PRAYING, talking to God, seeking to be in communion with the Almighty is a guarantee of optimism, strength, and hope, freeing us from lies (whose prince is the Enemy of God).
