A CBF fez importantes mudanças no calendário brasileiro de futebol, esticando o Brasileirão em periodicidade, reduzindo os Estaduais para 11 datas (concomitantemente ao torneio nacional em algumas rodadas) e criando Regionais. Adequou datas e montou um formato novo para a Copa do Brasil (essa, ficou perfeita).
Mas… apesar de ter ficado mais interessante, os clubes ainda estarão sobrecarregados de jogos. E a bola ficou “pingando” para readequar o calendário para o mesmo do europeu! Com isso, muita coisa poderia ainda melhorar. Entretanto, sejamos honestos, um grande pontapé inicial foi dado.
Aqui, importantes observações:
Os Campeonatos Estaduais sempre foram contestados. A Federação Paulista tinha o mais valorizado, e terá que se contentar com apenas 11 rodadas (será que vai?). As demais federações não reclamaram, mas lembremo-nos: veio à tona recentemente que as entidades recebem polpudas verbas da CBF, além de outra para os seus presidentes (mensalinho, como ficou popularmente conhecido). Como irão ser contra?
Ainda sobre a FPF: quem paga 16 rodadas, quer redução se for 11. E recordemos: Reinaldo Carneiro Bastos é do grupo oposicionista a Samir Xaud (que pertence a Ricardo Teixeira, Marco Polo Del Nero e amigos). Seria, além de uma reforma na confecção dos torneios brasileiros, uma briga de braço política? Se sim, ponto para a situação, pois incomodou a oposição e fatalmente terá reflexo nos cofres.
Tivemos ainda outra novidade: a criação de torneios regionais. Se já temos a Copa do Nordeste (hoje, no Brasil, a equipe que mais jogou foi o Bahia, pois chegou à final desse torneio), teremos outras, como a Centro-Oeste, Norte e, destacando, a Sul-Sudeste.
Será que elas são necessárias? Será que as equipes que não têm competição internacional, com o enorme número de jogos, não poderiam ter um “descanso”? Será que não seria mais prudente a CBF pensar nos clubes pequenos sem calendário nacional, ao invés de sobrecarregar a vida de quem já tem?
Ao que se vê, teremos jogos todo meio de semana, além do óbvio final de semana, desde janeiro até o começo de dezembro. Quem for competente, chegará ao final do ano com um número absurdo de partidas disputadas (e se não tivéssemos os estaduais, tudo seria mais fácil). Por que não criar 5a ou até 6a divisões regionalizadas, com calendário mais amplo, para todo Brasil? Aberrações como torneios de tiro curto (como A4 Paulista), onde pouco se joga e se desemprega muito, seriam melhor adaptadas numa divisão nacional mais criteriosa, com regionalização e racionalidade.
Para entender: a Copa Sul-Sudeste se formará pelas equipes sem torneios internacionais. Por exemplo: se o Corinthians, em 2025, não estiver na Libertadores nem na Sulamericana, jogará o Sul-Sudeste. Numa relação curiosa, podemos entender que no NACIONAL, quem não consegue vaga para torneio CONTINENTAL, classifica-se para o REGIONAL. As receitas, obviamente, devem ser menores.
O site Planeta do Futebol simulou: se os critérios para a Copa Sul-Sudeste (divulgados pela CBF de acordo com os torneios nacionais e estaduais) fossem de 2024 para 2025, nesse corrente ano a competição contaria com as seguintes equipes: Santos, Red Bull Bragantino, Nova Iguaçu, Boavista, América-MG, Tombense, Juventude, Caxias, Athletico, Maringá, Criciúma e Brusque. Não sei se seria atrativo… Por exemplo: Santos-SP x Red Bull Bragantino-SP é jogo de série A de Paulistão e de Brasileirão, teria bom apelo. Mas, respeitosamente, e Boa Vista-RJ x Maringá-PR? ou Tombense-MG x Caxias-RS? Quem patrocina, paga porque quer retorno financeiro.
Enfim: para toda reforma de casa, há sujeira, entulho, descarte de material e ideias discutidas. A proposta é mudar um ambiente para coisa melhor e mais funcional. A reforma de um calendário anual de futebol, idem. Haverá reclamação, discussão e, necessariamente, dever-se-á ter sugestão de aprimoramento.

Aberrations like short-format tournaments (like the A4 Paulista), where little is played and many become unemployed, would be better adapted in a more judicious national division, with regionalization and rationality.
To understand: the South-Southeast Cup will be formed by teams without international tournaments. For example: if Corinthians, in 2025, is not in the Libertadores or the Sudamericana, they will play in the South-Southeast.
